Crown and Bridge

A dental crown is a type of restoration which completely caps or encases a damaged tooth.  The crown can be made from a variety of materials, including metals and porcelain.  The crown is fabricated from an impression of the tooth, using strong materials.  The crown is bonded to the tooth using dental cement.

A bridge is a type of restoration that is fixed (permanently attached).  It is used to replace one or more missing teeth with an artificial tooth by permanently joining the artificial tooth to the adjacent teeth.
